First find out if there is a medical reason you are losing your hair. Some prescription medications can make your hair fall out and if you are taken off that medicine, it will return to normal. Also really bad stress can make your hair fall out and if you can overcome that, the hair will return. It is not just prescription medicine that can cause hair loss, some over the counter ones can also. If any of those are your problem, if a doctor can help then you won’t need medicine for it. As for the herbal products or the hair shampoos that claim to give you more hair. They are bogus. The shampoos or conditioners that claim to make your hair thicker or more of it; how they work is that every time you use them, they leave a coating of themselves on your hair and it continues to build up on the hair strands and that is why it would look “thicker”. Some of the ones you get at beauty shops or beauty supply places also make the hair look thicker by causing the hair to expand (like swell up) and will not stay that way. The only real way to get hair back is with a prescribed legitimate medicine. And those do not work for every one.
